Soft as a Razor

The mind is an activity. It’s not a thing or a substance.

Concentration is not a hard edge. Don’t grab on. The tight you hold, the harder it is. The slipperier it is.

It’s soft. It’s fluid. It’s malleable. Letting go. Relaxing. Dissolve.

Weaken the forces of distraction.

One who is caught in thought loses one´s original nature. All he knows are words and descriptions, when he sees the actual thing, he fails to perceive it. - Dali Lama

At The Edge

It sits at the edge of my awareness. It gnaws, gently. Like the beginning of a toothache. Most days, just as I wake up, I look for it. Half asleep, Dreamy. Like I am trying to remember something I forgot to do. The day before. And then there it is. I wonder if it will ever go away.

A Memory.

Still there.

Still. At the edge of my awareness.

Quote

Brian Adams

"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success."

"There are people whom one loves immediately and forever. Even to know they are alive in the world with one is quite enough."
